Oxford School edge past Montfort in ISBL

Oxford beat Montfort in a close game

New Delhi, November 28, 2014: Boys from Oxford School managed to sneak past Montfort School 38-36 on the Day 3 of Premier League of the Indian School Basketball League organized by Basketball Federation of India with Delhi Basketball Association in collaboration with IMG Reliance in DPS, RK Puram on Friday. Shaurya scored 18 points for Montfort, but Oxford held their nerves to grab a two point victory.

Hosts, DPS, RK Puram lost to DPS, Mathura Road 32-41. Shon top scored with 19 points for the victors. Modern School had it easy against Bluebells International and won 59-27 without breaking a sweat. Meanwhile, boys from St. Michael too had a good day and defeated Bal Bharti, Pitampura 35-21.

In the girls category though DPS, RK Puram defeated DPS, Mathura road 08-02 and made up for boys’ loss. Similarly, girls from Bal Bharti defeated St. Michael 27 -09. In the last game of the day, Montfort School defeated National Victor 38-23. Sushantika scored 22 points for the victors.

About the Basketball Federation of India

The Basketball Federation of India or BFI is the governing and controlling body of basketball in India, and is responsible for the development and promotion of the sport at all levels. BFI has been involved in conducting camps, clinics, events, and training sessions at its academies for the development of basketball.
