The LA Lakers have their eyes set on the trade market in the NBA. With the NBA's trade deadline inching closer, the organization will hope to upgrade its roster.
After a disastrous start to the 2022-23 season, the LA Lakers have started to show signs of hope. At one point this year, the Lakers found themselves at 2-10 for the season. Since then, the Lakers have gotten some sensational play from superstars Anthony Davis and LeBron James.
The Lakers now find themselves at 11-16 on the year as they prepare for Friday night's game against the Denver Nuggets. While the Lakers have shown some positive signs lately, there's still plenty of work left to be done.

The Los Angeles Lakers are hoping to improve their roster through trades
The LA Lakers need to make some additions to their roster to make a playoff push in the Western Conference. Due to the lack of trade assets at hand, the Lakers will have to be strategic with their moves.
Los Angeles is connected to a number of pieces looking for a new home on the trade market. Two of those rumored players involve New York Knicks wingers Cam Reddish and Evan Fournier.
Fournier has the tools to be a welcome addition to the perimeter. The veteran wing has the ability to stretch the floor with his outside shooting, something the Lakers desperately need.
The problem with Fournier is his contract. He is set to make $18 million this season, and his contract won't be up until the 2024-25 season. Fournier has seen a decline in his play this year. After averaging 14.1 points per game in 2021-22, Fournier is down to just 6.9 points per game this season.
Cam Reddish has displayed the tools to be an exciting forward during his career. Still just 23 years old, Reddish has the upside of being a worthy roll of the dice for the Lakers. While Reddish can fill up the scoring column in a hurry, his consistency has been lacking. This year, Reddish is averaging 8.4 points per game in just 21.9 minutes of action.
