In the FIBA ASIA Championship for men at Manila, Philippines, eight teams have been left to battle out in the quarter-finals of the championship to grab the top threes spot from Asia.
Defending champions China beat Bahrain in their last second round match to enter the quarter final of the FIBA ASIA Championship with four wins and 2 two losses in total. China finished 3rd in group F behind Iran and Korea. China will face the Chinese Taipei (2nd in Group E) in the quarter-finals of the championship. Meanwhile, Chinese Taipei entered the quarter-finals of the championship with five wins and one loss.

Iran routed Kazakhstan 85-53 to top the group F and enter the quarter final with a clean six wins and zero loss record. Iran will face Jordan who beat Japan 65 – 56 in their last match of the second round to gain the 4th spot in the Group E. In another quarter-final of the championship, hosts Philippines with five wins and one loss will face Central Asian giant Kazakhstan who qualified with three wins. Hosts Philippines beat Hong Kong 67-55 in their last match of the second round to enter the quarter-finals of the 2013 FIBA Asia Championship.

The last quarter-final of the championship will be played between Korea and Qatar. Korea entered the quarter-finals after ending in the 2nd position in Group F while Qatar finished 3rd in group E to enter the last eight round of the championship. In their last match of the second round, Qatar handed Chinese Taipei their first defeat while Korea managed to throttle SABA giants India, 95-54 in the last match of the second round of the championship.
All the quarter-finals of the championship will be played on 9th August 2013. Meanwhile ,Bahrain will face Hong Kong and India will face Japan in the classification match of the championship on same day.
