South Asian Basketball Association (SABA) giants India proved that they are too strong for minnow neighbors, Nepal. In an ongoing SABA U16 qualifiers at Dhaka; India easily beat Nepal 92 – 22.
India took a huge first quarter lead of 27 – 09 and took the second quarter 14 – 06. Nepal was no match for the SABA giant as India took the third and fourth quarter 23 – 05 & 28 – 02 respectively.
Now India will play Bangladesh and Nepal will play Maldives in the last day of the qualifying round. One team will qualify from this event from SABA for the 3rd FIBA Asia U-16 Championship for Men scheduled to be held at Tehran, Iran from 25 September to 4 October 2013.
