Steph Curry Injury Update: Golden State Warriors GM predicts an early return for Steph Curry

Steph Curry has been out and unavailable for the Golden State Warriors for almost two weeks now with a shoulder injury. General manager Bob Myers shared an update on the status of their two-time MVP point guard.

On "Steiny & Guru," Myers said:

"He's gonna get evaluated this weekend. And he's working out on the court. The two-week mark to evaluate him is this weekend. But there's been no, at this point, setbacks or anything like that."

"He's been noncontact out there, and he looks like the same guy."

The eight-time All-Star injured his left shoulder in mid-December against the Indiana Pacers, which has caused him to miss more than two weeks. Luckily for the Warriors (20-18), they're on a five-game win streak to help their squad improve, tied with the slumping Phoenix Suns for eighth in the Western Conference.

When Curry went down with a shoulder injury, there were questions as to which players would step up in his absence. The good thing about Golden State is that they have a few experienced players who have helped them improve their status this season.

The other half of the Splash Brothers, Klay Thompson, has been sensational in his last four games. Thompson is averaging 34.5 points, 6.5 rebounds and 3.3 assists, shooting over 41% from the 3-point line.

Draymond Green has also found his rhythm in defending at an elite rate. Green has averaged 6.6 ppg, 11.2 rpg and 7.6 apg in his last five games.

Things are starting to click for the squad, and it should be easier once Curry returns.
