Stephen A. Smith disagrees with Kobe Bryant's Golden State Warrior comments

Los Angeles Lakers legend Kobe Bryant caused quite the stir among basketball fans after speaking during the annual 'All Access' event at the Staples Center. While speaking at the event, Bryant had this to say about his former teams start to the season:

They will figure it out. So, enjoy the journey because we'll be champions before you know it, and then we'll just be laughing at all the Warrior fans who all of the sudden came out of nowhere." - Kobe Bryant via All Access

Kobe Bryant's comments seemed to take shots at the Golden State Warriors fanbase, while also highlighting the 40-year-old's belief that the Lakers were about to take over the Warriors as the dominant force in the Western Conference. When responding to Kobe Bryant's comments on ESPN's 'First Take', Stephen A. Smith argued:

Clearly Kobe Bryant is taking a shot at Warrior fans... we understand where Kobe is coming from but here's why he's wrong. The assumption is that the Golden State Warriors are going away, but I say put the breaks on that one.

Smith went on to express his belief that even if Kevin Durant left Steph Curry and Klay Thompson are good enough to lead the Warriors to success. The analyst also pointed to the fact that the 'Splash Brothers' are also both younger than the Lakers leading man LeBron James.
