After winning the 2021-22 NBA championship, the Golden State Warriors looked to be as dangerous as ever. Many expected the Warriors to come out of the gate aggressively in their title defense. It's been just the opposite, as Golden State has found itself 20-20 heading into Tuesday night's game.
Golden State still has the talent on its roster to be one of the best teams in the Western Conference. The Warriors have won five of their last seven games and appear to be on the right track.

The combination of Steph Curry and Klay Thompson have presented problems for opposing teams throughout their careers. While Golden State has had a rough start, the combination of the two gives the team hope for a comeback.
The season is still young and the Golden State Warriors have the ability to turn it on and go on a big run. Getting superstar Steph Curry back in the lineup will be a big step in the right direction. Before Curry suffered an injury, he was having a stellar season. He's averaging 30.0 points, 6.6 rebounds, and 6.8 assists per game while shooting 43.4% from three-point range.
His backcourt mate Klay Thompson has started to look like the Klay of old as well. In Thompson's last five games, he's posted averages of 33.6 points, 5.6 rebounds, and 3.2 assists while shooting 40.0% from three-point range.
If Thompson can continue to play at this level, with the return of Curry, Golden State will strike fear across the league. It's a position that the Warriors have found themselves in before.
