It took a huge night from their former MVP Stephen Curry for the Warriors to register their first win of the 2017-18 campaign in their second preseason encounter with the Timberwolves in Shanghai. Curry played 40 points, dished out eight times and grabbed six rebounds. Klay Thompson contributed 28 and reigning NBA Finals MVP Kevin Durant put up 22 but it was the Curry show:

The Timberwolves initially jumped to a 44-36 lead after the first quarter but the champions weren't about to lose again. Golden State outscored Minnesota 78-51 over the middle two quarters to open up a huge lead that the Timberwolves couldn't overcome.

Veteran Jimmy Butler was the Wolves' best player with an all-around performance - 15 points, 7 assists and 5 rebounds. Both teams now fly back to the States after playing two games in China. For Minnesota, this was their last preseason game. Their next game will be part of the regular season at the AT&T Center against the San Antonio Spurs on October 18th. (Oct. 19 IST).

On the other hand, the Warriors do play one more preseason game. That's against the Sacramento Kings on October 13th (Oct. 14 IST).
