Bane was drafted 30th overall in the deep 2020 draft class by the Boston Celtics and then immediately traded to the Grizzlies. He has risen to become one of the best shooters in the league, a skill in high demand in the NBA.

Bane had an impressive 2023 campaign, averaging a career-high 21.5 points per game. He had a stellar showing in the first round of the playoff loss to the Los Angeles Lakers, netting 23.5 points to go with 6 boards. The Grizzlies have a solid backcourt in Bane, alongside Ja Morant.

Anthony Edwards joined draft classmates LaMelo Ball and Tyrese Haliburton, who also inked maximum deals with their teams. Edwards was the number one pick in the class, and his on-court performance showed as much.

The deal came after an excellent performance by the youngster in his previous seasons with the team. Edwards also had a great 2022–2023 season. He is well on his way to becoming one of the faces of the association.

2. LaMelo Ball, Charlotte Hornets, worth $260 million, Five years.

With this contract, the Charlotte Hornets committed to making the 22-year-old LaMelo Ball the face of the franchise for years to come. Ball averaged 23.3 points, 8.4 assists, and 6.4 rebounds per game in the last season.

Although LaMelo only played 36 games last season after suffering a fractured right ankle, the team's new owners still had enough confidence in him to offer him the keys to the franchise.

Melo will be joined by the No. 2 pick in the 2023 NBA draft, Brandon Miller as the Hornets look to lift the struggling team.

1. Jaylen Brown, Boston Celtics, projected $304 million, five years.

When the Boston Celtics signed Jaylen Brown to this extension, it officially made the deal the biggest contract in NBA history. Brown averaged a career-high 26.6 points per game to go with 6.9 rebounds last season.

However, his performance decreased in the playoffs, particularly against the Miami Heat in the conference finals. Brown had 19 points on eight of 23 shooting and he made just one of nine attempts from the arc. He'll have to do better in the future to account for this humongous contract extension.
