After seven straight trips to the NBA playoffs, the Memphis Grizzlies were one of the worst teams in the league last season. The Grizzlies finished with a record of 22-60, and the quick descent was mainly due to the absence of Mike Conley, one of the most underrated players in the NBA. Conley only played in 13 games last season after suffering a left Achilles injury that needed surgery.

Many are expecting the team to start rebuilding and trade at least one of their two franchise stars in Conley and center Marc Gasol. Conley still has two years left before he enters free agency, but his huge contract might discourage some teams. However, Conley is still in his prime and any team with playoff aspirations would love to have him on their roster.

He could also serve as a mentor for a young team like the Phoenix Suns or the Orlando Magic.
