The Utah Jazz and Milwaukee Bucks face off on Thursday at the Fiserv Forum. Both teams have endured rough starts, with only one win in their first seven games. It's probably more disappointing for the Bucks, considering they began the year as one of the favored contenders in the East outside of the Boston Celtics.
The Bucks won their opening night matchup against the shorthanded Philadelphia 76ers without Joel Embiid and Paul George, but have lost six straight since. Their latest loss came against the Cleveland Cavaliers on Monday.
It was another close encounter for the Giannis Antetokounmpo-less Bucks, who lost 116-114. Damian Lillard tallied 36 points but had eight turnovers, including a costly one with 57 seconds left after a backcourt violation. The Bucks got handy contributions from Bobby Portis and AJ Green's 21 points apiece, but an inconsistent defensive performance hindered their chance at glory again.
Meanwhile, the Jazz began their season with a six-game losing streak and finally snapped it in Monday's 135-126 win over the Chicago Bulls. With Lauri Markannen out, Keyonte George steered the ship with a 33-point night, while John Collins added 28 off the bench and Colin Sexton scored 24.

Utah rode behind a clinical offensive effort, shooting 53.9%, including 16 triples off 35 assists. That's what the Jazz must rely on to upset the Bucks and hand them a seventh-straight loss.
