LeBron James broke the NBA's all-time scoring record on Tuesday night, drawing plenty of praise from Hall of Famer Charles Barkley. The NBA analyst labeled the record as one of the greatest accomplishments in the history of the sport.

Speaking on "Inside The NBA", Barkley said:

"It was amazing. I wanted to be sitting down watching it because I was like, 'this dude ain't going to wait until Thursday', and I sat there and it was incredible. It's one of the greatest accomplishments in sports history. LeBron is a great player, but he's really a good man, and it's been an honor and a privilege to watch him all these years."

Barkley labeled LeBron's story as the greatest before adding:

"I think it's silly and lazy, these clowns on television or radio who want to debate who's the greatest. It all just depends on what era you're from. Shout out to Kareem Abdul-Jabbar, who when we talk about the greatest ever, he should be in the conversation. I'm really glad that he was alive to pass that ball to LeBron. Having Kareem there meant a lot to me because guys like him built the NBA to what it is today."

Kareem Abdul-Jabbar and LeBron James were able to share a moment when James surpassed him on the all-time scoring list. Abdul-Jabbar had held the record for nearly 39 years before the LA Lakers star passed him.

Charles Barkley shares his thoughts on the Kevin Durant trade

Charles Barkley has been very vocal in his criticism of Kevin Durant and his support of the Phoenix Suns, his former team. Speaking on "Inside The NBA" the Hall of Famer weighed in on the move that sent Durant to the Suns.

"The West is so good now, you're going to need a good bench. You can't go to war with just KD, [Devin] Booker, and [Deandre] Ayton because the West is so loaded. If they played the Clippers, the Lakers now, I haven't even mentioned Memphis, your bench is going to be really, really important."

He added:

"They gave up a lot so I think the buy-out market - I'm going to be watching that for my Suns. Our starting unit, we're good to go, but to win three series just to get to the Finals, your bench is going to be huge."

The Suns will likely look to be active in the buy-out market as their roster is top-heavy and Durant, Booker, and Chris Paul have all dealt with injuries this season.
