Lauri Markkanen has emerged as a breakout star this NBA season. The Utah Jazz forward is averaging a career-high 23.9 points and 8.5 rebounds per game, shooting 52.8% from the field, including 42.1% from 3-point range, leading the team in both scoring and 3-point shooting.

Markkanen couldn't scale his potential in his previous stops with the Chicago Bulls and Cleveland Cavaliers. His inability to be an effective defensive player, despite his 7-foot frame, proved to be a barrier to his playing opportunities.

The Finnish star has the ideal roster around him with the Jazz. He can flourish in his offensive role, playing alongside two other bigs, akin to his time with the Cavs. However, Markkanen is the #1 option with Utah, which has improved his production.
