Comedian and actor Pete Davidson is best known for dating some of the most famous celebrities in the world, including Ariana Grande and Kim Kardashian. However, Davidson is also a big basketball fan. He is from Staten Island, New York, so he naturally supports the New York Knicks and is often seen at the Madison Square Garden.

Davidson is seen sitting courtside at the MSG alongside fellow celebrities Ben Stiller, John Stewart and Chris Rock. He has also attended games with sister Casey Davidson, who is also a basketball fan.

Davidson was in attendance when the Golden State Warriors superstar point guard Stephen Curry made NBA history last season. Pete Davidson spoke about his fandom with ESPN analyst and fellow Knicks fan Stephen A. Smith in May 2021. Davidson made some bold predictions about the Knicks during the interview, which took place on Smith’s show "Stephen A’s World." This included Davidson predicting that the 2021 fourth-seeded Knicks could beat the star-studded Brooklyn Nets in a playoff series.

“They (Brooklyn Nets) are also the most emotional team. Durant and Kyrie are kinda like, very, very very emotional. So, I think if you shake them up, if you get in their head, I think it’s a wrap for them,” Davidson said.

“Is that your way of saying the New York Knicks got a shot to knock off the Brooklyn Nets? Is that what you’re telling me Pete?,” Smith responded.

“Absolutely! I think with our squad, absolutely,” Davidson replied.

The Knicks lost 4-1 in the first round of the playoffs to the fifth-seeded Atlanta Hawks that season. So Davidson’s prediction was a bit off. Nonetheless, he was probably just excited to see the Knicks making a rare playoff appearance.

As for Pete Davidson’s favorite Knicks player, he did an interview five years ago with MSG Network where he talked about one of his favorites. Davidson's choice was former Knicks big man Kristaps Porzingis.

Davidson also made it known that his Knicks fandom was legit as he said he has been supporting the team since he was a child.

“Love the Knicks. They were good when I was little, or good enough,” Davidson joked.
