Monica McNutt played a big role in the 2023 NBA All-Star Celebrity Game. Since ESPN received exclusive rights to televize the first game of the All-Star Weekend, McNutt participated in it.

The game took place at the Jon M. Huntsman Center in Salt Lake City, Utah, where McNutt was an analyst for the game. She's received a lot of attention for her analysis of the game and many basketball fans praised her.

Monica McNutt is a former basketball player

Cassidy Hubbarth hosted the Celebrity All-Star Game, while ESPN used Mark Jones as a play-by-play commentator during it. Monica McNutt served as an analyst alongside Richard Jefferson, the former NBA champion.

McNutt was born in 1989 and is a former basketball player. From 2007 to 2011, she attended Georgetown University, earning a Bachelor of Arts degree in English language and literature. This is also where she played basketball for the college team.

Shortly after earning her college degree, McNutt began serving as a sports broadcast intern at NBC Sports. By the end of the year, Monica had joined FiOS1 as a sideline reporter and color commentator for various sports events.

One thing that sets Monica McNutt apart from many other analysts is her extended knowledge of basketball. During her professional career, the 34-year-old provided commentary and analysis on high school, college, and professional basketball.

McNutt joined FOX Sports as a basketball analyst in December 2018 and got another gig at ESPN for covering college basketball in 2019.


McNutt was a standout basketball player at Georgetown University

In his first year at Georgetown University, the young basketball star averaged only 5.4 points per game on 39% shooting. While her averages weren't impressive, McNutt had several great games, including a 21-point performance against Marquette.

The basketball player improved her stats in the second year with the team, posting a new career-high in points with 23. In this game, McNutt hit five 3-pointers and also grabbed six rebounds.

The Georgetown University guard was also great on the defensive end of the floor, setting career-highs of three steals and three blocks in her second year.

In her final season of college basketball, Monica McNutt was named to the All-Big East Second Team. She was the second-best scorer on her team, averaging 11.2 points per game.

McNutt also led the team in steals, which is no surprise considering that she had two games with five steals.
