The 2023 NBA All-Star game is slated to take place on February 19th. This year, Salt Lake City Utah will be playing host to the weekend's festivities. It is the first time in 30 years that one of basketball's biggest events will take place there.

Like every year, the 2023 NBA All-Star game will have more than just the game's best talents coming together for one evening. There will also be countless musical performances and special appearances.

In an attempt to shake things up, the All-Star game format has changed to a draft style. Things are going a step further in Utah as the captains will pick their team right before tip-off. This is an attempt to draw comparisons to pick-up games played all around the world. The team captains are Milwaukee Bucks star Giannis Antetokounmpo and LeBron James of the LA Lakers.

Before the 2023 All-Star game takes place, there is going to be a pre-game concert. It was recently announced that hip-hop artists The Kid Laroi and BIA will be performing.

The Kid Laroi is a 19-year-old rapper from Australia. His biggest song is "Stay" with Justin Bieber. It currently has over two billion streams on Spotify.

BIA is a 31-year-old American artist from just outside of Boston. Some of her most-streamed songs are "London" and "Whole Lotta Money."
