Who is RJ Barrett's girlfriend, Hailey Brown? All you need to know

RJ Barrett is currently in the midst of breaking out of a slump that saw him start the season on a rough note. With his recent surge in play, many are wondering about Barrett's personal life, specifically his relationship status. As it turns out, Barrett and his girlfriend, Hailey Brown, have been together since 2018.

While there's no word on how the two met, they both grew up in Ontario playing basketball from a young age. With Barrett being the son of a former basketball player and Brown playing from a young age, it's no wonder they were drawn to one another.

Brown started her high school career with St. Thomas More Catholic Secondary School. She won a city championship in her first year, earning her a Juel League All-Star selection. The next two years, she earned All-Star honors in the league again. She then transferred to Rise Center Academy for her senior year. It gave her the opportunity to play on a bigger stage.

After high school, Brown joined the Michigan Wolverines, where she played for four seasons, helping them reach their first NCAA Tournament in five years. At Michigan, she averaged 8.4 points, 4.1 rebounds and 1.2 assists per game.

Barrett, a five-star recruit, also tore it up on the collegiate scene. Barrett declared for the 2019 draft after just one season as a standout with Duke University.

During her time with Michigan, RJ Barrett's girlfriend earned a reputation as a 3-point shooter. To add to her already-impressive resume, Brown then earned Academic All-Big Ten honors. As she described at the time, leading Michigan to the NCAA Tournament was an important accomplishment.

“It’s something that I’ll remember forever," Brown said. "I came to Michigan to do these moments. From the very first time I stepped on the campus, I had the early conversations with coach. This has just always been one of our goals.”

After graduating, she then created her own hair extension business, which seems to be pretty successful.

From the time they were a young couple all the way up until now, Barrett and Brown have remained a happy couple.

Currently, Barrett is in the midst of snapping a lengthy rough patch. By turning it around, the New York Knicks have managed to climb to the sixth spot in the Eastern Conference.

Barrett has repeatedly put up impressive numbers in December, leading the Knicks (17-13) on a seven-game win streak that they're looking to extend against the Golden State Warriors (15-16) on Tuesday evening.
