The Pressure

Pressure is being placed on Davis to leave New Orleans. Other superstars see an opportunity to form a super team with the "Brow" and cementing their basketball legacy right along with Davis.

While many will say because a player does not sign another player’s cheque, one player using his connections and relationships to influence the other player, is not tampering. If you are Dell Demps, it really puts you at a disadvantage because general managers cannot do the same thing. LeBron James was asked about the Lakers acquiring Davis’ services and James stated:

“That would be amazing, like, duh. That would be incredible."

It's not just LeBron James either. Giannis Antetekoumnpoalso echoed James’ sentiments except on behalf of Milwaukee. The Greek Freak told Davis recently after a match between the Bucks and Pelicans:

"Come to the Bucks, man," Antetokounmpo said before shaking Davis's hand. "Come to the Bucks."

Players and general managers see and recognize the talent that is Anthony Davis and every team is salivating at the opportunity to acquire him. The man who has Davis’ name on a contract has to try and figure out how to keep his star with all this noise buzzing louder around the situation. Demps must be talking to the Raptors general manager Bobby Webster who has a similar contract issue with Kawhi Leonard.
