“You see LeBron come across that screen and dunk” - American Rapper Symba believes NBA superstars are motivational tools for world

2021 NBA All-Star Game
LeBron James received heavy praise from an unlikely source.

American rapper Symba, who has 160k followers on Twitter, recently spoke about how NBA superstars act as inspiration for others.

Since its inception, the NBA has produced multiple global superstars who are recognizable throughout the world. The modern game has multiple greats currently active, with the likes of Stephen Curry, Kevin Durant and LeBron James some obvious names that crop up in mind.

Speaking to ESPN, Symba was talking about how sports has the ability to motivate the world. Multiple youngsters who have come to the NBA have already talked about how the likes of LeBron and Curry motivated them to do better and become their best versions. Symba claimed that just watching LeBron James dunk during games is enough to motivate people to go to the gym:

“When you see LeBron come across that screen and dunk, you want to go to the gym. You see KD hit that three, you want to go for a jog or get up and do what you’re great at.”

Of course, the rapper was not merely talking about how other sportspeople can take inspiration from these players. Instead, he was speaking about their influence from a broader, more holistic perspective.

Symba supports the Golden State Warriors in the NBA

The American rapper was born and brought up in Los Angeles and is a Golden State Warriors fan. Symba partnered with the Warriors at the start of the season to narrate a opening night highlight video. Along with fellow Bay Area resident and rapper Mistah F.A.B., the two created the following lyrics for the video:

“They said the run was over, that this team was washed, that the dynasty by The Bay had come to an end, I’m not sure what else they’ve been saying. I mean it’s awfully hard to hear with all this champagne and confetti. The Larry is back where it belongs. Warriors! Champs once again.”

The rapper then went on to praise the likes of Klay Thompson, Stephen Curry and Draymond Green, who have been instrumental in all the success the Warriors have had in the past decade. Regardless of his loyalties, Symba appears to have a good eye for NBA talent, and picked out two of the best players of the current generation to praise.

Along with Curry, LeBron James and Kevin Durant are two obvious candidates to emerge as the greatest players of this generation, and are certain future Hall of Famers.
