Nick Jackson is an American college football player who joined the Iowa Hawkeyes in 2023 as a graduate transfer and will be playing his final season of eligibility. Jackson started his football career at The Lovett School where he played as both wide receiver and linebacker. He was rated a three-star recruit and was the recipient of the 2022-2023 Gretchen Savin MacIlwaine Football Scholarship. Jackson was the 58th recruit in the state of Georgia in the 2019 recruiting class. He concluded his prep career with 72 catches for 1,224 receiving yards and nine touchdowns. After a stellar high school career, Jackson embarked on his collegiate football journey with Virginia Cavaliers despite getting offers from top programs like Arkansas State, Colorado, Colorado State, Iowa State, Kentucky, Minnesota, Missouri, Texas A&M and many more.

Jackson became an immediate contributor in his freshman campaign and saw action in all 14 games with two starts. The following year as a sophomore, Jackson started all ten games recording a career-high 105 tackles. His 2022 season was short-lived after multiple of his teammates were killed in a mass shooting. Jackson entered the transfer portal in 2023 to transfer to Iowa State for his final two years of eligibility. Last season with the Hawkeyes, Jackson recorded 110 total tackles and four sacks. Nick was granted an extra year of eligibility and he will return to the Hawkeyes for his final season of college football.
