Manish Pandey now plays for KKR in the IPL.

Most people know Manish Pandey as the guy who became the first Indian to score a century in the IPL when he destroyed Deccan Chargers with an unbeaten 114 for Royal Challengers Bangalore in 2009. However, before he gained popularity with RCB, Manish Pandey was a part of Mumbai Indians in the 2008 season. The batting line-up of the Mumbai Indians contained the likes of Sachin Tendulkar, Robin Uthappa and Sanath Jayasuriya, thereby denying Pandey a regular spot in the team.

Pandey managed to make only three appearances for Mumbai Indians, scoring just 3 runs in those games. To say the least, Pandey's departure from the Mumbai Indians was for his own good. After playing for the Royal Challengers Bangalore 2009 to 2010 and Pune Warriors India from 2011 to 2013, he moved to Kolkata Knight Riders in 2014. He has managed to play 83 games since leaving Mumbai and has scored 1731 runs at a decent average of 25.88.
