Gujarat Titans are gearing up to defend its crown as the IPL’23 is inching forward day by day. Talking of the Delhi Capitals, they missed by a whisker to make their way into the playoffs as they finished just a win less than what was required.
When we look at these two teams together, they have a head-to-head record which slides in the corner of the Titans. They faced the Capitals once in the league stage previous year where they won in convincing fashion.
They are scheduled to face each other twice this year with the first to be played on April 4 at Delhi while the next will be held in Ahmedabad on May 2. Both the fixtures will be an evening one.
Before these two collide in the 16th edition of the IPL, why don’t we dig in deep and see how the tale of the tape looks when it comes to the head-to-head?

Gujrat Titans vs Delhi Capitals Head to Head
The sole game which occurred between these two teams took place on 2nd April, which was the 10th match of the previous year’s tournament. Played in Pune, DC won the toss and asked GT to bat first. The Delhi side struck early by sending back Wade cheaply. After losing two wickets in the first 6 overs, Shubman Gill tried to balance the innings with skipper Hardik Pandya. After forming a concrete 65-run stand for the third wicket, Panya got out for 31 runs. While the next batsmen to follow couldn’t contribute much, Gill stood tall and smashed a brilliant 84 in just 46 deliveries to take Gujarat to a score of 171-6. Mustafizur Rahman got a 3-wicket haul, Khaleel Ahmed picked a couple and leg-spinner Kuldeep Yadav bagged 1 wicket in his pocket too.
Delhi’s batting started to crumble as they were stranded for 34-3 in the first five. Then came the captain Rishabh Pant to the rescue with a knock of 43(29). But he was dismissed just at the wrong time for the Capitals and it paved things in favor of the Titans from there on. Lalit Yadav, and Rovman Powell tried to fight back but their 20s couldn’t help their side to reach the target. Gujarat ultimately beat Delhi by 14 runs to secure the win.
