Australia clinched their fifth ODI title by winning the ICC ODI Cricket World Cup in 2015. The tournament, jointly held in Australia and New Zealand, witnessed a world record created when Chris Gayle and Marlon Samuels added 372 runs for the second wicket in a clash against Zimbabwe. Their 372-run stand is so far the highest-ever partnership for any wicket in the history of the ODI World Cup. Gayle scored his famous 215 in that particular game.
For India, Rohit Sharma and Shikhar Dhawan formed a crucial pair and piled up 174 runs for the opening wicket against Ireland in Hamilton.

The 2011 ODI Cricket World Cup culminated when MS Dhoni hit his iconic six against Sri Lanka to clinch India’s second ODI World Cup after 28 years. The tournament was jointly hosted by India, Bangladesh and Sri Lanka.
The tournament saw several phenomenal batting performances, with TM Dilshan and Upul Tharanga stitching up a superb partnership of 282 runs against Zimbabwe. Their 282-run stand is still the highest opening stand in the history of ODI World Cups.
Sachin Tendulkar and Gautam Gambhir scored the highest partnership for India in the tournament when they added 134 runs for the 2nd wicket against England.
