The Indian Premier League (IPL) was launched in 2008 and is a professional Twenty20 (T20) cricket league in India. Organized by the BCCI, the IPL features 10 franchise teams. Mumbai Indians and Chennai Super Kings have been the most successful teams, each winning five titles. The 18th edition of the IPL is set to begin on March 22, 2025 and will end on May 25, 2025.

As of March 2025, Virat Kohli holds the record for most IPL runs (8004) and also most runs in a single edition with 973 in the IPL 2016. Yuzvendra Chahal is the bowler with most IPL wickets (205), Bhuvneshwar Kumar is the only bowler to win the Purple Cap twice, and Amit Mishra has the most hat-tricks (3) in IPL history.

Most 4-Wicket Hauls in IPL

Sunil Narine is the cricketer with the most four-wicket hauls in the IPL, achieving the milestone seven times, as of March 2025. The bowling all-rounder has picked up 180 wickets in 177 IPL matches and played a key role in Kolkata Knight Riders' (KKR) title wins in 2012, 2014, and 2024. He took 17 wickets for his team in the IPL 2024, conceding 368 runs in 330 deliveries.

Yuzvendra Chahal, Lasith Malinga, and Kagiso Rabada are in second place in the aforementioned list as all three have taken six four-wicket hauls in the IPL, as of March 2025. Amit Mishra, Kuldeep Yadav, and Chris Morris are all joint-third in the list with all of them boasting four four-wicket hauls in the richest cricket league in the world.
