RR 2024 Head Coach

Legendary Sri Lankan cricketer Kumar Sangakkara will continue in the role of head coach cum Director of Cricket Operations. Sangakkara joined the RR team management in 2021 as the Director of Cricket Operations and took over the responsibilities of head coach after Andrew McDonald parted ways with the franchise ahead of IPL 2021.

This will be the fourth season in a row for the former Sri Lankan skipper to shoulder the responsibilities of the dual roles. Royals made it to the final of IPL 2022 and finished the season as runners-up, it was their only appearance in an IPL final since they lifted the cup in 2008.

However, the inaugural champions failed to make it to the playoffs last year, something Sangakkara will look to address in IPL 2024.

RR 2024 Batting Coach

There is no particular role of a batting coach at Rajasthan Royals for the last two seasons and this year also it will be the same. Mumbai's present head coach Amol Muzumdar was the last person to be in charge as batting coach in IPL 2020.

Since the appointment of Sangakkara as head coach and team director in 2021, it seems as if the Sri Lankan is taking care of a batting coach along with the Royals' assistant coach Trevor Penney.

RR 2023 Bowling Coach

Legendary New Zealand pacer Shane Bond will take over the role of fast-bowling coach from Lasith Malinga in IPL 2024.

Bond, who represented New Zealand in 18 Tests, 82 ODIs, and 20 T20Is, played a stellar role in helping Mumbai Indians claim four IPL titles between 2015 and 2020.

I'm delighted to be joining the Royals. It's a forward-thinking franchise that is determined to do well and I'm excited about being part of their vision. The bowling group is a great mix of youth and experience, and it will be awesome to work alongside them," said Bond via a press release.

Bond will also serve as the assistant coach of RR.

RR 2024 Fielding Coach

Former Rajasthan Royals wicketkeeper Dishant Yagnik is the fielding coach of the team for IPL 2024. He was appointed in this role in 2018 and this will be his sixth straight season with the inaugural IPL champions in their coaching staff.

Yagnik played 25 matches for the Royals between IPL 2011 and IPL 2015 apart from playing a couple of matches in the Champions League T20. Yagnik was also appointed as the head coach of the Pondicherry cricket team in 2021.
