RR 2022 Head Coach

Former Sri Lankan cricket team captain Kumar Sangakkara is the head RR coach 2022. Sangakkara joined the RR team management as a director of cricket operations in 2021 and took over the head coach’s responsibilities, replacing former Australian all-rounder Andrew McDonald.

Sangakkara played 134 Tests, 404 ODIs and 56 T20Is for Sri Lanka. He was a part of the Sri Lankan squad that won the ICC T20 World Cup in 2014. In the IPL, Sangakkara played for the Deccan Chargers, Sunrisers Hyderabad and Punjab Kings.

RR 2022 Batting Coach

Amol Muzumdar was the RR coach for batting previously, but when the RR team management underwent changes, Muzumdar transitioned into an out-of-season High Performance Batting coach for the RR Academies and squads.

With Kumar Sangakkara present in the backroom staff, the former Sri Lankan captain is likely to help the RR batters as a batting coach.

RR 2022 Bowling Coach

Lasith Malinga is the RR coach 2022 for fast-bowling. Malinga is the leading wicket-taker in the Indian Premier League history. He won four championships with the Mumbai Indians before deciding to hang up his boots.

Malinga previously had a coaching with MI, but this year, he is the fast-bowling coach of the Rajasthan Royals team.

RR 2022 Fielding Coach

Former Rajasthan Royals wicket-keeper Dishant Yagnik is the RR coach 2022 for fielding. Yagnik played domestic cricket for Rajasthan. He was even a part of the rebel Indian Cricket League, where he represented the Delhi Giants.

Yagnik made his IPL debut in 2011 against the Punjab Kings. He played 25 matches for RR till 2015, scoring 170 runs. Yagnik even played a few games for the Royals in the Champions League T20.
