Appearance
Each weapon has two forms, one when it is initially summoned and another once it has reached a certain level of ascension. Once this occurs, the weapon will undergo a change in its design. Polar Star is a silver and blue bow with several blue spikes jutting out of its frame, as well as a star shaped symbol at the front

The edges of the various spikes across Polar Star’s frame start to glow a brighter shade of blade, as well as the winged edges of its frame

The spearhead of Vortex Vanquisher changes color into a much darker shade of brown, and its shaft lightens up slightly in color.

Funnily enough, while Polar Star is Childe’s signature weapon, it is actually not quite his BiS weapon! That honor would go towards Thundering Pulse, albeit it is very close and the two are considered somewhat interchangeable for him.
Who are some of the best users of Polar Star?
Childe has the easiest time hitting all four of the stack requirements in order to maximize his damage benefit thanks to his quick swapping style of play. Fischl is another character who can manage this relatively easily
