Royal Bow is a weapon that was introduced along with the game’s release. The only way to obtain this weapon is through Paimon’s Bargains. Part of the Royal series, this weapon shares the category along with Royal Greatsword, Royal Grimoire, Royal Longsword and Royal Spear. While having an ATK% substat, this weapon also has a passive that makes it much easier for rapid fire characters to crit with. The increase in CRIT Rate at maximum stacks is really high, in turn letting you invest completely on CRIT DMG.
This weapon was crafted under the supervision of the Lawrence Clan with the best materials available to them in order to hunt during their pastime. Due to the high quality of the materials used, this weapon still stands strong, without a loss in quality even after all these years. The weapon’s lore talks about the crumbling of the Lawrence Clan and all who were celebrated by the citizens of Mondstat.

Story
A longbow used by a noble who ruled over Mondstadt. It was crafted with premium materials and master craftsmanship. For that reason, generations later, it is still as powerful as ever.
Hunting was once a pastime of the nobles.
They demonstrated their strength in the natural world, and shared the spoils with the people in benevolence.
Unfortunately, benevolence was lost, and with it, their reign.
After the uprising, the Lawrence Clan that had long ruled Mondstadt was overthrown.
In the name of benevolent governance, the newly established Knights of Favonius deemed that protracted investigations would be unnecessary.
The Lawrence clan was promptly cast out from Mondstadt, never to return.
"On the road bound to our exile, I watched my father sigh with grief; at the betrayal of the people, at the end of a glorious era, at the final chapter of history."
"We watched the people who were once our subjects rejoicing in the open country as we bid farewell to our homeland."
"Only years later did I realize: it was we, the Lawrence clan, who had betrayed, who had ended a glorious era, and who had closed the history books. Only now was Mondstadt as it always should have been."
Vennessa was but the final push that toppled a crumbling tower.
Before her, the flames of fury already burned bright, and occasionally the flickering flames had shone through the thick smoke of secrecy:
The phantom thief praised in secret by the people. The woman who could see death. The Wanderer's Troupe intent on revolution.
The spirit of resistance is in Mondstadter's blood.
Trivia
- Royal Bow was a weapon used by the nobles primarily for hunting. However, due to the quality of the materials used, the weapon serves well in combat as well.
FAQs
Is Royal Bow a good weapon in Genshin Impact?
Royal Bow, although gimmicky, is a very good weapon in Genshin Impact. However, in most cases, investing in the Blackcliff Warbow is a much better alternative to the Royal Bow simply because of all the benefits the other bow provides. However, if you have a hard time landing critical hits and have invested in a lot of CRIT DMG, Royal Bow will be very beneficial to you.
Who is the Royal Bow a good weapon for?
Royal Bow is good for characters who do rapid damage against opponents. This includes characters like Fishcl who does rapid damage herself and with Oz, Yoimia who deals rapid Pyro Damage and Childe who does rapid hydro damage. The rapid damage helps you trigger the stack effect faster and start with the next stack faster. While this weapon reduces consistent CRIT DMG, it provides larger one shot DMG.
Is Royal bow good for Tartaglia?
While it is not the best weapon for him, Royal Bow is definitely a really good choice for Tartaglia. It gives him a massive ATK boost due to the weapon’s Secondary Stat, which increases his overall damage. In addition, each hit increases the number of ‘Focus’ stacks, making him CRIT often as well. At Refinement 1, the passive can provide him with upto 40% CRIT Rate at maximum stacks. All of these factors make this a decent weapon for Childe.
Final Thoughts
Royal Bow is one of the most unique when it comes to passives in bows. However, due to there being much better bows which provide CRIT and ATK in a better way, this weapon is simply outclassed by other options. However, the rapid playstyle of most bow characters contribute to this bow's passive, making this weapon worth investing in.
