Appearance
Each weapon has two forms, one when it is initially summoned and another once it has reached a certain level of ascension. Once this occurs, the weapon will undergo a change in its design. Sacrificial Sword has a sleek design with silver edges and a dark purple streak running down the center of the blade. It has an azure gemstone located at the base of the blade that attaches it to its purple handle.

The connecting gemstone lights up brightly, glowing a bright blue. The coloration of the sword is much brighter than before as it goes from an almost black dark purple to a piercing violet at both the hilt and the blade.

In terms of purely damage potential, the Sacrificial Sword is rather underwhelming with its low baseline ATK. This is why it is a suboptimal choice for characters seeking to do big damage with their normal attacks. However, the benefit of being able to use both Elemental Skills and Elemental Bursts can help make up for the raw loss of damage by getting more abilities off.
Who are the best users of Sacrificial Sword?
Xingqiu is a big fan of the Sacrificial Sword. His Elemental Skill normally has a very long cooldown, so being able to immediately have it back up again to both do more damage and to generate more elemental particles to fuel his powerful burst is an extremely powerful boost to his output. Qiqi also likes Sacrificial Sword for similar reasons
Is Sacrificial Sword BiS for anyone?
In terms of pure selfish damage there are definitely better options, but it is the clearcut best 4-Star option for Sub DPs/Utility purposes for Xingqiu.

Sacrificial Sword is one of the best utility weapons in all of Genshin Impact, allowing Sub DPS characters to have high, consistent uptime on their Elemental Burst and Skill usage in order to properly support their teammates. While there are definitely better options in terms of pure damage, they can’t compare in terms of both elemental particle generation as well as Skill/Burst uptime.
