
Plot
Set in 1960s Japan, Hinako’s hometown of Ebisugaoka is a place like any other in rural Japan. As she hangs out with her friends one day, the fleeting moments of teenage years suddenly transform into a horrifying nightmare as the town gets engulfed by a mysterious fog. Hinako will need to explore the town, trying to solve the mystery behind the fog and how to make it out alive alongside her friends, as well as avoid the grotesque monstrosities that haunts the fields and streets of Ebisugaoka

Silent Hill F is set to release on September 25, 2025, with early access for the game going live on September 23. The game will not be available on last-gen platforms, but you can play it on the following:

Gameplay
Silent Hill F follows the series’ traditional 3rd person combat, with an emphasis on survival elements. You will roam around the village of Ebisugaoka, solving puzzles, looting precious supplies, and carefully avoiding the horrific monsters.
The game features combat segments, where you must carefully dodge enemy attacks or parry them to stun the foes. You will have to find weapons that are scattered all over the town and be careful of when to engage, as these can break easily.

No, as each of the games in the Silent Hill series are standalone experiences. Most of them take place in the titular town of Silent Hill which is located in Maine, United States, whereas F will take you to 1960s rural Japan.
Silent Hill F will not be coming out for the Xbox Game Pass when it releases on September 25. It might get added to the subscription service later on.
