No, as of now, God of War Ragnarok is not available on PC.

One of the biggest titles of the year, Sony’s USP, God of War Ragnarok, was released on the date of November 9, 2022, for PS4 and PS5 respectively. On the other hand, Sony is yet to announce the game’s PC release. The game is exclusive to PlayStation only for now, with no news of a PC release.

God of War Ragnarok

God of War Ragnarok is a mythological action-adventure game developed by Santa Monica Studio and published by Sony Interactive Entertainment in 2022. It was released exclusively for the PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 5 on November 9, making it the first official cross-gen release in the God of War series. This makes it the ninth installment in the series, and the sequel to 2018's God of War. It is loosely based on Norse mythology, is set in ancient Scandinavia, and also features series protagonist Kratos and his teenage son Atreus. Concluding the Norse era of the series, the game covers the Ragnarok event which is core to Norse mythology and was already foreshadowed to happen in the previous game after Kratos killed the Aesir god Baldur.

Ragnarok Event

Ragnarok, described as the Twilight of Gods, is a major event first prophesied by the Jotunn Groa which has foreseen the ultimate battle, which will only lead to the death of many gods, even including Odin and Thor. Finally, there will occur the "rebirth" of the world through submersion into water. Kratos and Atreus are the center of everything mentioned in the prophecy through which the game’s story unfolds.

Even though we cannot play Ragnarok on PC, the older version is available to play on PC. God of War or God of War IV is the sequel to God of War III and the continuation of the God of War chronology. God of War is the eighth installment in the franchise.

In the previous installments, the story goes about how Kratos was tricked into killing his own family and his revenge for it. This version focuses on Norse mythology and follows an older and wiser version of Kratos along with his new son Atreus in the years since God of War III. The game was released on April 20, 2018. Like Ragnarok, this was also originally exclusive to the PlayStation 4, until the PC port launched on 14 January 2022, on Steam and the Epic Games Store.

The story starts as many years have passed since the God of War, Kratos, took his revenge against the Olympian gods. Having survived his war with his father Zeus, Kratos has traveled to Midgard, located in Ancient Norway, where he now lives with his young son Atreus in the world of the Norse gods. It is described as a savage land inhabited by many monsters and warriors. In order to teach his ways to his only son, whose mother recently died and was the second wife of Kratos, and to make sure he survives in such a world, Kratos must master the rage that has kept him on the go for many years and find light and embrace his newfound role as a father and a mentor.

Is Ragnarok the last game?

In the game, Atreus says his final goodbye, and Kratos at the end sees the shrine revealed to him by Agrboda on which long ago the Giants had prophesied him as the hero of Ragnarok. God of War's developer Santa Monica Studio, has said that Ragnarok is the conclusion, and Kratos won't be spun into another trilogy.
