Corey Conners' Parents

Corey Conners, a Canadian professional golfer, competes on the PGA Tour as of April 2025. He won the 2019 Valero Texas Open, marking his first PGA win, and won at the same event in 2023 too. He also represented Canada at the 2020 Tokyo Olympics, finishing in 13th place. As of April 2025, his career-high Official World Golf Ranking (OWGR) is No. 21.

Before going pro in 2015, Conners was a standout college golfer at Kent State University. He won ten amateur titles from 2010 to 2015, which included victories at the 2015 Lake Macquarie Amateur. He initially played on the Web.com Tour, now known as the Korn Ferry Tour, before earning his PGA Tour card in 2018.

Corey Conners parents are Mike Conners and Janet Conners. The couple has two more daughters; Sarah is their youngest child and Nicole is Corey's twin sister.

Corey grew up in Listowel, Ontario, and credits his family with providing an environment that encouraged him to take the sport seriously. His father, Mike Conners, introduced him to the game, focusing on swing tempo. Mike and his father, Corey's grandfather, both served as presidents of the Listowel Golf Club, where Corey practiced. His mother, Janet Conners, said Corey began displaying an interest in golf at the age of two, swinging toy clubs in the garden. He began playing golf at the age of four and completed his first full 18-hole round at the age of seven, scoring 101 (via the Ranch 100.1).

Janet said (via the Ranch 100.1):

“As a toddler in the summer afternoons, he loved hitting balls in our backyard. He was about 18 months old. He’d have plastic baseball bats and plastic golf clubs and he’d hit all the way around the house or all the way around the backyard. He was pretty little. Baseball and golf were his favourite toys.”

She added:

“I am just speechless sometimes. This is my child. And everyone loves him. He’s Listowel’s boy. It’s hard to put into words how incredible a feeling it is. He loves his community so much.”
