GTA Online has its fair share of challenging missions that can leave players scratching their heads. While the game is easy for the most part, such missions can test your patience. Completing them is a satisfying feeling for various reasons. However, Rockstar Games should consider making the toughest missions a little easier.

This article lists five ridiculously tough missions in GTA Online that you may come across in 2025.

1) Doomsday Heist Finale

Doomsday Heist Finale is one of the toughest missions in GTA Online. What makes it especially frustrating is the lack of enough checkpoints. If you die in the middle of the mission, you’ll have to restart from far behind.

Moreover, the wrath of the Juggernauts, the never-ending clone army, and the hacking mini games will not let you complete it easily.

2) Diamond Casino Heist Finale

There are three different approaches to the Diamond Casino Heist in GTA Online – each comes with its unique difficulties. Whether you sneak into the main vault, disguise yourself, or go loud and forward, you will have a hard time dealing with the aimbot guards of the Casino and the cops later.

Moreover, taking damage during the mission not only decreases your health but also reduces your loot value. Therefore, without a robust plan and a sheer amount of luck, passing this GTA Online mission is tough.

3) Doomsday Setup: Air Defenses

Despite being a setup mission for the Doomsday Heist, this is one of the most poorly designed gameplay experiences that you’ll ever come across. The objective of bombing various air defenses sounds easy, but Rockstar Games gives you the Volatol to complete this mission.

The bomber plane is weak, slow, and difficult to maneuver. Moreover, the targets are small and are placed in various locations on top of Mount Chiliad. Thus, completing this mission is a nightmare in itself.

4) ULP - Cleanup

This is the final mission of the Operation Paper Trail series, and can get very difficult for new GTA Online players or those who don’t know some tricks. It is also one of the creepiest missions in the game as you have to navigate through a dark silo.

The silo has several disabled juggernauts that become active towards the ending. They can give you a tough time if you don’t know how to eliminate them. It is always advised to find and shoot all the juggernauts to death in their disabled state before turning on the lights.

5) The Prison Contract

The Prison Contract could have been an easy mission in GTA Online, but Rockstar Games made it challenging by limiting the gear. You must enter the Bolingbroke Penitentiary and kill some targets. However, you can only use predefined weapons and tuner cars.

Navigating through the prison is not easy, and the weak weapons and vehicles make it exceptionally difficult.
