Jorge Masvidal is a famed former professional mixed martial artist and a boxer from America who is best known for his days as a professional competitor in the leading professional mixed martial arts organization, the Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC). The former UFC star had a career in professional mixed martial arts which spanned two decades and comprised of 52 professional bouts.

Jorge Masvidal competed in the lightweight and welterweight divisions of the UFC during the peak of his professional mixed martial arts career. He made his debut on May 24, 2003, against Brandon Bledsoe at AFC 3 and defeated his first rival in a professional fight by a first-round knockout to seal a comfortable victory and start his career on a winning note.

Jorge Masvidal spent time-fighting in multiple fight promotions before making his debut in the UFC. During that period he compiled a record of 24 wins and 7 losses and made his promotional debut in the UFC on April 20, 2013, at UFC on FoxHenderson vs. Melendez against Tim Means. Masvidal secured a unanimous decision victory in the bout and successfully announced his arrival in the promotion. The veteran professional mixed martial artist competed in the UFC regularly switching between lightweight and welterweight weight classes where some of his most notable fights include his clash with the former UFC welterweight champion Kamaru Usman and Nate Diaz.

Jorge Masvidal also fought in one professional boxing match against Joseph Benjamin on June 28, 2015, in a four-round showdown which he won by a majority decision. Masvidal is scheduled to take on Nate Diaz in a boxing bout on July 6, 2024.
