Playing Fallout 76 solo can be challenging if you don't know what to do. The title came out in 2018 as the first multiplayer game in the Fallout series. While it was originally designed for playing with friends, playing solo is now easier and more enjoyable. Even though there are still multiplayer events and nuclear weapons, you can have a good solo experience too.

1) Know the map
When playing Fallout 76 solo, check the map regularly to see where all the players are. They will be shown as small dots. You can avoid unwanted interactions by locating others. But if you get attacked, be ready for combat. If you're exploring tight spaces like tunnels or buildings, have a melee weapon for close-quarters fights.
2) Explore extensively
Exploration is key, especially while one is playing Fallout 76 solo. Avoid clustered areas like Flatwoods at the start to minimize encounters with other players. Defeat enemies to find low-level weaponry.
You'll discover loot such as armor, weapons, and resources if you explore more. Scour the environment for fallen trees and log piles to gather wood scraps, which are important resources for crafting wood armor.
3) Activate Pacifist Mode
PvP can be a big part of the game. You don't want to get into fights when playing Fallout 76 solo. When Pacifist Mode is on, you can't hurt other players, and if someone kills you, they get marked as a murderer on the map — this puts a bounty on their head. Explosives can be a lifeline for when you are outnumbered. Placing mines or explosives can give you the upper hand in combat. Wait for enemies to group, then throw the explosives to deal significant damage.
10) Take part in Nuke Drops
Although it’s good to avoid group activities, participating in Nukes is an exception. Before participating, wear a rad suit or power armor and stay outside the blast zone when the Nuke hits.
Once done, some legendary creatures will appear in the area, and you can beat them to get special weapons and armor. You don't have to defeat the creatures, just get their loot by doing some damage. Keep shooting the beasts, and let larger teams finish them off.
