Week 2 of fantasy football allows managers to take a step back and evaluate their prior expectations of players. Were they too high? Too low? Is one week simply not enough of a sample size to gain real insights into our players? The answer is probably somewhere in the middle.
That said, managers learned about offensive lines, coverage schemes, and offensive usage, which all provide pivotal information when choosing our flex players.
Here's a closer look at the players who many fantasy football managers are likely deciding between in their flex positions. Using points per reception (PPR) as the standard default scoring is one way to go. If you have a stud player, start them. This is more for players a hair down the rankings board. Good luck this week!

#1. Daniel Jones (QB, NYG)
That’s right. Daniel Jones is going to produce this week. If you’re in a super flex league or need a quarterback with Jordan Love on the shelf, an option worth considering is "Mr. Danny Dimes".
Here’s the bottom line – Washington stinks. Not even like a little bit. They are awful. Last week, they gave up 289 yards and four touchdowns to Baker Mayfield. Establish The Run's John Daigle shows just how bad the Commanders' defense has been against QBs in their last 17 games: Yikes.
Listen, Jones isn’t great. He’s not even good. But he does have legs and can make things happen on the ground. That’s worth something. Jones can easily eclipse 50 yards rushing, and if he throws a few touchdown passes, it’s a top-10 week. Last year in Week 2, Jones was the QB 1 overall thanks to his 59 yards rushing and a score. Can he duplicate that this season?
#2. Demarcus Robinson (WR, LAR)
Puka Nacua was sent to injured reserve and will miss at least four games. Robinson was already starting in three wide receiver sets for LA, but his target share should grow. Last season, Robinson saw two games with double-digit targets.
Now, as the Rams head to Arizona, he’ll face a Cardinals secondary that, per Scott Barrett of Fantasy Points, played the most Cover 4 defense in the league. Demarcus Robinson just happened to be a top-30 receiver against that alignment.
The benefit to adding and starting Robinson is that he’s also a viable option for the next month while Nacua is out. Don’t let him sit on your waiver wires.
#3. Xavier Worthy (WR, KC)
The Chiefs just placed fellow receiver Hollywood Brown on IR, meaning the door is open for Xavier Worthy to continue expanding his role. Managers saw in Week 1 just how dynamic Worthy can be with his two touchdowns. Now he’s facing a Bengals team that is talking smack about him. Expect some big plays in response.
Andy Reid will likely scheme up several ways for Worthy to shut the Bengals up. If Worthy is on the roster, he’s 100% in the starting lineup on Sunday versus Cincinnati.
Sportskeeda's fantasy projection tool also has Worthy delivering an easy 11 points against the Bengals this week.
Fantasy Football Week 2 Sit 'Em picks
#1. DK Metcalf (WR, SEA)
This is simple. He’ll be locked up with Patriots corner Christian Gonzalez who last week shut Ja’Marr Chase down. Metcalf also won’t benefit from a losing game script, as Seattle is a heavy favorite. Don’t expect Geno Smith to throw in Metcalf’s direction much on Sunday, just as he shied away last week when Patrick Surtain of the Broncos shadowed him. Find another option.
#2. Courtland Sutton (WR, DEN)
Another terrible matchup versus an elite corner. Get to know the name Joey Porter Jr. from the Steelers because he’s the next great lockdown specialist. Bo Nix threw for just 138 yards in Week 1. While he did target Sutton a team-high 12 times, he connected on just four of those balls for 38 yards.
#3. Zamir White (RB, LV)
Here’s another opportunity for the Raiders to be trailing in the second half, which means White heads to the bench. If managers can roster Alexander Mattison, it should prove a good move. Mattison played on 13 of 14 third downs in Week 1. He’s the preferred option in most passing situations. White is a slow, plodding back who already has head coach Antonio Pierce talking about a backfield by committee. Avoid him if possible versus the Ravens in Week 2.
