Jalen Hurts has been the talk of the town for the Philadelphia Eagles heading into the 2024 season. Now, fans want to know whether the quarterback will lead Philly's offense in Brazil against the Green Bay Packers in Week 1 of the season on Friday.

Jalen Hurts will start as Philadelphia's quarterback against the Packers on Friday. The signal-caller is fit and listed as active on the Eagles roster. Hurts did not play in any preseason game since the Eagles didn't want to risk any injury for the player before the regular season. Hence, the quarterback will now suit up to face Green Bay in Week 1.

The Eagles drafted Hurts in the second round in 2020. The QB has racked up 11,674 yards on 1,000 passes with 94 touchdowns thus far. He also has 2,503 rushing yards and 41 scores across 62 regular season games.

Hurts led the Eagles to the Super Bowl in 2023. However, Philly lost to the Kansas City Chiefs at the final hurdle.

Last season, Hurts recorded 3,858 passing yards, 23 touchdowns, and a career-high in interceptions (15) and rushing touchdowns (15). The Eagles had a strong start to the season, racing to a 10-1 record, but they faltered toward the end of the regular season.

They finished second in the NFC East with an 11-6 record and qualified for the playoffs, but Hurts and Co. were eliminated from the postseason by the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in the wild-card round.

Nonetheless, Hurts will again be the main man for Philly in 2024. He will want to get the Eagles off to a winning start in Week 1 against the Packers.
