Malik Nabers, one of the most intriguing wide receivers in the 2024 NFL draft, made his debut over the weekend for the New York Giants. The No. 6 overall pick in April finally showcased his talents in an official game, although things didn't go well for the Big Blue against the Minnesota Vikings in Week 1.
The Giants face the Washington Commanders this Sunday, but Nabers could present an issue after his latest health update.
Malik Nabers' injury update
Earlier on Thursday, Nabers was listed as limited on the Giants' injury report. ESPN's Jordan Raanan provided an update on his situation, clarifying that it doesn't look like a serious thing, but the team will wait to see how he feels on Friday:

"Doesn’t appear to be anything serious. His leg tightened during practice. Seems to be OK. See how it feels tomorrow," Raanan said on X/Twitter.
Nabers connected with Daniel Jones in a regular-season game for the first time last Sunday, leading the receiving corps in yards (66) after catching five passes.
After a disappointing debut, he'll be keen to bounce back and help the Giants move past another struggling squad like the Commanders. He's projected to get eight targets this week and complete the same five receptions he got against the Vikings for 63 yards and a total of 13.5 fantasy points.
Fantasy managers should hold off on making any changes to their roster until another update is provided on Friday.
Update on Malik Nabers status for Week 2
As per new reports, the Giants rookie will be back on the field by Sunday.
Former NFL star says Malik Nabers doesn't want to play with Daniel Jones
The New York Giants aren't in a good moment right now, as they keep struggling to find consistency with Daniel Jones under center. Former Philadelphia Eagles star LeSean McCoy claimed that Malik Nabers didn't want to play with Jones as his quarterback.
Speaking on FS1's "The Facility" show on Wednesday, McCoy said:
"I had a chance to talk to him at the symposium, and we're just talking... and he didn't say this, but he wasn't super excited to play for Daniel Jones. But it's like, Yo, my quarterback is like, he looked at me like, 'What the f*** am I supposed to do with him?' And that's my thing. If I'm a teammate, I am not happy to play Sundays with this guy."
Nabers is considered one of the top wideouts in this year's draft class, but if he's not in the right situation, his development could be hampered.
The Commanders should be an easier opponent for the Giants, but they need to make adjustments to be able to compete against a division rival.
