Stephen A. Smith is tired of hearing about Green Bay Packers quarterback Aaron Rodgers' actions as of late.

Green Bay Packers quarterback Aaron Rodgers has left fans wondering about his future for the past few seasons. After convincing most people that last season may have been his last, he signed a contract extension with the Packers.

The Packers were 4-8 after 12 games and were essentially written off and Rodgers was leading some to believe that this may be his last season as well. But, ESPN's Stephen A. Smith no longer wants to hear about the quarterback's retirement conversation.

"That bad man that is Aaron Rodgers is getting on my damn nerves. He really is. I'm starting to get annoyed with him right here. So let me get this straight. Most of the season, y'all play like garbage. Most of this season, you look like a shell of yourself. Most of this season, we've been waiting to see that bad man that I've been bragging about for more than a decade.
"Most of this season y'all have disappointed. And after being 4-8, you win four straight. You control your own destiny. You got a playoff berth on the line against the Detroit Lions after signing the contract. Where are you going to get about 50 million a year. Your bag to secure for the future."

Smith said that the quarterback is on the cusp of yet another playoff run and has one of the most lucrative salaries in the National Football League. And, that he should stop complaining.

Stephen A. Smith then went on to say that Aaron Rodgers implies that he 'might be here' and that he has made some 'nice memories' and is essentially throwing in the towel, yet here he is playing for a chance at the playoffs.

"The bottom line is this I've been praising this dude for the better part of the last 13-14 years and you come up with nothin. You went four straight and now with a playoff berth on the line And you've got the Detroit Lions coming to the house. Aaron Rodgers has not thrown for 300 yards in one single game this year.
"Not one, Not one. We see Aaron Jones running the football. We see this cat, Christian Watson, develop it. We see Matt on the floor making adjustments and acting like a damn coach for a change. We see all of that and right now with a playoff berth for the line you Aaron Rodgers and you talking about the memories and --- shut the hell up."

Smith said that he has been bragging about how great of a player Aaron Rodgers is for the past decade or more, yet he hasn't had any success since then. Smith said Rodgers now needs to focus on playing the Detroit Lions and getting in the playoffs and actually having postseason success for the first time in 12 years.

"Go out there and ball like we know you can don't want to hear no nonsense about the memories. I'm sorry to be disrespectful like that, but pisses me off. We don't want to hear no retirement talk... You haven't got a Lambeau Field in Green Bay to a Super Bowl in 12 years. Get to the damn playoffs. Talk about that when you lose. Not when you've got a game with a playoff berth for too long."-First Take

Aaron Rodgers believes that 2022 Packers team is better than 2016 team

This season wasn't the first time that Aaron Rodgers and the Green Bay Packers have had a losing record past the halfway mark in the season. In 2016, the Packers were 4-6 and got their way all the way to the NFC Conference title game.

“I think personnel-wise, yeah. I just think lining up personnel-wise, across the board, I think it’s a little bit more talented team. Now that team had some guys who had been a part of winning some really big football games, this team has less of those guys."

Aaron Rodgers said that his teammates in the 2016 team had more experience and success than this team has. It was yet another dig at his young teammates, something that he has continued to do throughout the season.

Yet, those younger players are making good enough plays to have the Green Bay Packers in a position to make a run for the playoffs with a win this season.
