Ezekiel Elliott snaps at reporter after being asked about missing Mavs game with Odell Beckham Jr.

Dallas Cowboys running back Ezekiel Elliott wasn't happy on Wednesday with a question from a reporter. The question revolved around free agent wide receiver Odell Beckham Jr.'s recent visit to the Dallas Cowboys. The Cowboys have been interested in signing Odell Beckham Jr., and the visit to Dallas came after his visit to his former team, the New York Giants.

During his trip, Elliot also attended a Dallas Mavericks basketball game with linebacker Micah Parsons and cornerback Trevon Diggs. The reporter asked Elliott why he wasn't in attendance at the game with his teammates and Beckham.

The running back didn't appreciate the question and snapped at the reporter by saying that he was home that night. He then went on to say that, if he did go everywhere, then everyone would be talking about that. Elliot said:

“Damn, I can’t chill at the crib? If I went everywhere y’all would be on my a** about that. So which y’all want?”

This outburst comes just days after the Cowboys team owner told reporters that Elliott was benched at the start of Sunday night's game against the Indianapolis Colts. Jones told reporters that he didn't start due to a disciplinary issue.

“Yeah, think there was a little issue he had with his coach and some discipline issues. Being tardy for a meeting or a phone going off or something serious, relative to Zeke, but I won’t get into that, but I’m not giving out that punishment. I’d be a lot more lenient than that,” Jerry Jones said.

Ezekiel Elliott donates $50,000 to Salvation Army after recent jump in kettle

Every year, the famous Salvation Army red kettle is on the sidelines at AT&T Stadium. The Jones family are big supporters of the organization. Since 2016, running back Ezekiel Elliott and his teammates have found a way to bring attention to the red kettle. In 2016, his jump into the kettle went viral and brought along a fine from the National Football League.

On Thanksgiving, the tight end group for the Dallas Cowboys all jumped into the kettle as part of a touchdown celebration and were, of course, fined for doing so as well.

In a dominant win over the Indianapolis Colts on Sunday night, Elliott scored a touchdown and immediately ran for the red kettle. Quarterback Dak Prescott ran over with him and pretended that the kettle was a "Jack-In-The-Box" and Elliott emerged doing his signature "Feed Zeke" move.

The Cowboys running back has not been fined by the National Football League as of yet, but he did make a donation on his own. On Wednesday evening, he and his friend, businessman Nick Sunderman, toured the Salvation Army of North Texas facility. While there, they brought a check for $50,000. This will help cover the 2,000 children whose names were not chosen from their Angel Tree program last week. The pair donated 500 pairs of shoes and socks as well.
