Deshaun Watson is nearing a return to the NFL, leading to a great deal of anticipation for fans of the quarterback. However, he hasn't escaped his past, as pundits have started to ask the public not to forget what he's done.

That said, some are resigned to the fact that his transgressions will eventually be forgotten. Speaking on The Right Time, NFL analyst Dominique Foxworth made his cynical opinion known.

"And I don't know exactly when it stops, but it don't stop today. Deshaun Watson is returning from suspension for being accused of sexual assault by 26 women. 'Now he threw a touchdown pass, so now you can do everything else.'"

He continued, using Ben Roethlisberger as an example:

"And of course, we talked about all the other players [like] Ben Roethlisberger, who we stopped talking about their allegations or their transgressions at a certain point. And we're going to do that for Deshaun Watson, too."

The new quarterback for the Cleveland Browns has spent most of 2021 and 2022 fighting in courtrooms as a result of his transgressions. Over the last two years, roughly two dozen women have come forward with allegations of sexual misconduct. The quarterback is accused of acting inappropriately during massage sessions.

Initially, many expected the quarterback to be put behind bars. While he successfully escaped a prison sentence, the quarterback wasn't able to escape the tsunami of civil charges financially. Slowly over the course of 2022, he settled the suit out of court.

As he was wrapping up some of the last of his lawsuits, the NFL settled on a punishment for the quarterback.

In a decision handed down just before the start of the 2022 NFL season, the quarterback was suspended for 11 games. Those 11 games have ended and the quarterback is now on pace for a Week 13 debut against his former team, the Houston Texans.
