Dak Prescott was brought in by the Dallas Cowboys in the fourth round of the 2016 NFL draft. He has served as the team's starting quarterback since his rookie campaign. However, during the 2024 season, Prescott's campaign was cut short due to a hamstring injury.
In Week 9, Dak Prescott injured himself during their loss to the Atlanta Falcons. This limited him to just eight games last season. The quarterback is rehabilitating to make a return this year for the Cowboys.
On Thursday, NFL analyst Greg Cosell talked about Dak Prescott's future on the Ross Tucker podcast. He highlighted Prescott's injury history while questioning his ability to play a full season on the field.

Cosell went forward to express his concerns about Prescott's offensive line. He talked about Prescott shaping up into a 'pure-pocket quarterback while talking about the importance of having a good left tackle to protect him on the field.

Dak Prescott provides update on his injury rehabilitation
After suffering the injury, the Cowboys quarterback underwent surgery on November 13. It's been almost seven months since the start of his rehabilitation journey.
In May, Dak Prescott participated in the team's voluntary workouts. While speaking to the press during media availability, he provided an update on his health and recovery.
"Pretty much can do it all," Prescott said. "Feel good. Yeah, I think I'm just not cleared for contact, which we've got a while for that anyways. Yeah, I'm out there in the team activities. Feel good. Just trying to stay that way. Yeah, feeling great."
After a disappointing 7-10 record, the Cowboys fired head coach Mike McCarthy after five seasons. They promoted ex-OC Brian Schottenheimer as his replacement.
Prescott has been participating in the team's OTAs. He has reportedly been making good progress and is expected to be completely healthy before their Week 1 showdown against the Philadelphia Eagles in September.
