The St. Louis Battlehawks defeated the Arlington Renegades 24-11 in their Week 4 matchup.

The 2023 XFL season has been sensational so far. Since Dwayne Johnson's takeover, the league has been entertaining, competitive and exciting to watch. Returning from a three-year hiatus, the XFL has come back at the right time (during the NFL offseason) and has been a treat for all football fans.

The Week 4 game between the St. Louis Battlehawks and the Arlington Renegades saw multiple records being broken.

The game was played at The Dome at America's Center in St. Louis and fans flocked to the match, breaking the XFL's attendance record. A total of 38,310 fans were in attendance on Sunday. This historic game also sets the record for professional spring football games.

The energy and excitement of the fans was visible before the start of the game. Thousands of fans were present early and had their live music and "hawk walk" to welcome home their favorite team.

The St. Louis Battlehawks dominated the Arlington Renegades from the word go.

A.J. McCarron led the Battlehawks to a 24-11 victory, throwing for 214 yards and two crucial touchdowns. Former Kansas City Chiefs wide receiver Darrius Shepherd accounted for 91 yards and a touchdown.


XFL standings after Week 4

The XFL has been pretty competitive in the 2023 season. With the completion of Week 4 games, the standings make for interesting reading.

The DC Defenders top the table in the North Division. They are followed by A.J. McCarron's Battlehawks.

With the conclusion of Week 4, it's clear how the divisions will be playing out.

Week 5 XFL schedule

Week 5 features some great games. St. Louis will host the DC Defenders on Saturday at 7 pm ET. This will be their second time facing each other in the 2023 season. After a huge brawl at the end of their Week 3 game, the Battlehawks will look to hand the Defenders their first loss.

In other games, the Houston Roughnecks take on the Seattle Sea Dragons on Thursday at 10:30 pm ET. The Orlando Guardians will travel to face the Vegas Vipers on Saturday at 10 pm ET. Week 5 concludes on Sunday with the Arlington Renegades taking on the San Antonio Brahmas at 10 pm ET.
