St. Louis Battlehawks Info

The St. Louis Battlehawks are a football team who compete in the Xtreme Football League (XFL). The Battlehawks were one of the original teams that were formed to compete in the inaugural season of the XFL in 2020. It was established in 2018 when it was the only XFL team to lack an NFL franchise out of the city where it was based. The team was suspended in 2020 following the cancellation of the 2020 XFL. However, the St. Louis Battlehawks were restored in 2023 to play in the 2023 XFL season. They are based out of St. Louis, Missouri and compete in the North Division of the XFL.

Location, Stadium, and Team Colors

The St. Louis Battlehawks are based out of St. Louis, Missouri. When they were founded in 2018, the city of St. Louis had no NFL teams representing it. There was a negative sentiment against football in the city when the St. Louis Rams shifted to Los Angeles to rebrand themselves as the Los Angeles Rams in 2015. Earlier (1960-1987) the city was represented by the Cardinals who later shifted to Arizona.

The Dome’ at America’s Center

The team’s home stadium is the ‘Dome at America’s Center’ located at Convention Plaza in St. Louis, Missouri. The Dome was built in 1995 to house the St. Louis Rams who played there from 1995 until 2015. The Dome is the last football stadium to have been built with a fully opaque and fixed roof. The stadium is adjacent to America’s Center convention centre with a capacity of seating up to 82,6244 fans. The XFL rented the Dome for $800,000 per season as the home stadium for the St. Louis Battlehawks.

The St. Louis Battlehawks have their team colors set in navy blue, white, gray and royal blue. All jerseys and helmets for the St. Louis Battlehawks are designed and made by Under Armour.
