Dallas Cowboys quarterback Dak Prescott hasn't played since Week 1 against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers due to a hand injury. Nonetheless, he is somehow ranked in the top 10 of the newest quarterback ratings. On FOX's Undisputed this week, both Shannon Sharpe and Skip Bayless were shocked to see the Cowboys quarterback ranked at number seven among active quarterbacks.

At number seven, the Cowboys quarterback is ahead of Cincinnati Bengals quarterback Joe Burrow and Philadelphia Eagles quarterback Jalen Hurts, who is currently undefeated. Sharpe said that he wants to know who creates these rankings and how they do so.

"I wanna know who's taking Dak over Joe Burrow? That's what I need to know. Skip ain't even taking Dak ahead of Joe Burrow. [Bayless] said he's been a Cowboys fan since '61 and he would not take Dak."

Sharpe even said that Skip Bayless, a lifelong Dallas Cowboys fan, doesn't even believe that Dak Prescott should be ranked as the seventh-best quarterback in the NFL. The Hall of Famer believes that not one fan in the Cowboys nation would put Prescott above Burrow.

Is QB Dak Prescott returning in Week 7 vs. Detroit Lions?

After suffering the hand injury in Week 1, Dak Prescott has undergone surgery that put him out for a considerable period. The quarterback has been throwing at practice for the last few weeks and appears ready to make his second start of the season this Sunday against the Detroit Lions at home.

Backup quarterback Cooper Rush led the team to four consecutive wins before being stopped by the undefeated Philadelphia Eagles. Now at 4-2, the Dallas Cowboys sit third in a highly competitive NFC East that is led by the Eagles and then the 5-1 New York Giants. The Washington Commanders are at the bottom of the division at 2-4.

The Cowboys offense has shown a lot of spark in the five weeks that the quarterback has been out. The gameplan should continue as expected with the return of their starting comeback.

With Jerry Jones confirming Prescott's health, there's a strong chance that Cooper Rush's stint as the starting quarterback might be ending.
