Daniel Snyder is on the radar of many NFL owners, including Indianapolis Colts owner Jim Irsay. At the NFL fall meetings, Irsay shared his explosive thoughts about the longtime Washington Commanders owner. The Colts owner said:

"I believe there is merit in removing him as the owner of the [Commanders]. There's the consideration that he should be removed."

David Samson, the former president of the Miami Marlins, shared his thoughts about Irsay's shot at Snyder during his appearance on The Dan Le Batard Show with Stugotz. Samson said:

“That was a planned owner-on-owner crime."

The former Marlins president added:

“What’s going on right now is an absolute organized effort. Everybody is lawyering up—on the owners’ side and on the Daniel Snyder side".

Irsay was chosen by Commissioner Roger Goodell and other owners to be the perfect spokesperson, Samson said, given that the league disciplined him. ESPN reported that Snyder had been collecting "dossiers of dirt" to potentially "blow up" others around the league.

The former baseball executive-turned-front office analyst noted:

“There’s a whole meeting that takes place at the owners' meetings about who’s going to talk to the media. Whether it is going to be a scrum or whether it’s going to be a leak, whether it's going to be walking through the lobby, it’s totally strategic. I finally think we can say that Snyder will not survive this.”

The Washington Commanders owner issued a letter to other owners about ESPN's investigation

The Commanders owner sent a letter to the other 31 NFL owners about the recent investigation conducted by ESPN about having dirt on them.

He wrote in the letter:

"It is patently false and intended to erode the trust and goodwill between owners that I take quite seriously. I have never hired any private investigator to look into any owner or the Commissioner. I have never instructed or authorized my lawyers to hire any private investigator on my behalf for any such purpose. And I never would."

His fate could be decided by a vote to remove him as the owner of the Commanders as early as the winter meetings. Irsay noted that owners must receive a thorough and detailed status report.

The Colts owner added:

"That's not what we stand for in the National Football League. I think owners have been painted incorrectly a lot of times by various people and various situations. That's not what we're about."

A spokesperson for the Commanders called Irsay's comments "inappropriate." Snyder started testifying before a congressional committee investigating the team's history. The hearing was not made open to the public.

The Washington owner has been accused of multiple counts of sexual harassment by former employees. It remains to be seen what happens to the 57-year-old as his issues are far from over.
