It's that time of year when EA Sports gears up to release the next edition of the Madden video game. The Madden 25 cover will be released on June 11, 2024. On Friday, NFL fans were treated to a sneak peek of the photo shoot for the cover.
The video showed the behind-the-scenes of the cover shoot, and a voice can be heard saying, "EA Sports, it's in the game." That little hint now has NFL fans predicting who will grace the latest cover of the popular video game.
The guesses began pouring in on X, and Taylor Swift was a popular thought on social media. Cincinnati Bengals quarterback Joe Burrow was also a popular thought amongst fans.

Three-time Super Bowl-winning tight end Travis Kelce was also a popular thought for the Madden 25 cover. Kansas City Chiefs Kelce's on-field success and popularity amongst non-NFL fans due to his relationship with Taylor Swift make him an obvious choice. Others thought that perhaps Travis and Jason Kelce could share the cover as another option.
"Travis Kelce is the obvious pick, CeeDee Lamb would be my ideal cover obv," one fan tweeted.
"There are only three realistic options for what this will be:1) Travis Kelce 2) Jason Kelce 3) Jason & Travis Kelce together," another fan tweeted.
"I'm willing to bet it's Travis Kelce. The marketing alone makes way too much sense for a publisher like EA," one fan tweeted.
Some fans suggested other big names in the NFL, including Minnesota Vikings wide receiver Justin Jefferson and San Francisco 49ers running back Christian McCaffrey. Despite the numerous guesses, football fans wait until next Tuesday for the highly anticipated answer.
"Give me a Justin Jefferson/CMC Cover," one NFL fan tweeted.
"It's Stroud and we all know it,"another fan tweeted.
"Jalen Hurts easy," one fan tweeted.
Who appeared on the Madden 24 cover?
NFL fans have been convinced in the last few seasons that appearing on the cover of Madden may be a jinx. Several players have been injured after making their debut on the cover. Buffalo Bills quarterback Josh Allen was on the cover of last year.
Although he was fortunately not injured, Josh Allen did get off to a slow start and didn't get to playoffs until Week 18 with a win over the Miami Dolphins.
The late John Madden, the namesake for the iconic video game, made the cover of Madden 23 after his passing. Kansas City Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes, who has been on the cover twice, shared the over alongside Tom Brady before the 2021 NFL season.
