Where is the superstar wideout headed next?

According to Adam Schefter, there is one team is expected to sign Odell Beckham Jr. for the remainder of the season. Recent reports have suggested that the Dallas Cowboys and New York Giants, the team that drafted the pass catcher in 2013, separated themselves from the Green Bay Packers, Buffalo Bills and other potential suitors.

Now, according to a source who spoke with Schefter, the Cowboys are the odds-on favorites to land the wide receiver.

Schefter tweeted that a team executive said:

“It sounds like it will be Dallas. If you’re in Vegas, your 2-1 favorite is the Cowboys and everyone else is 5- or 6-1.”

The Cowboys have been linked to Beckham for a long time. They let Amari Cooper walk away and, outside of CeeDee Lamb, have struggled to replicate the production at wide receiver.

They've managed to get to 7-3, within two games of the Philadelphia Eagles, so they are probably okay without OBJ. But adding help on offense would go a long way towards solidifying their Super Bowl chances.

When will Odell Beckham Jr. sign with a team?

All signs point to a contract being signed sometime in the very near future. The wide receiver will need to learn the offense and work up to game speed, so it's not as if he can sign today and be active next Sunday. That would be a long shot.

He should be able to pass a physical and join a team, but he may not quite be ready to join an active roster just yet.

Last season, following his release from the Cleveland Browns, it took a few weeks for him to start playing and contributing with the Rams.

He was key in their playoff run and Super Bowl win, so any team, likely the Cowboys, will want to mirror that process. As a result, they'll likely want to sign him as soon as possible.

Still, it's been a long journey for Beckham, who's been medically cleared to do some physical activity for a while, to get to this point, so it might take a little longer.
