NFL fans trash Jalen Hurts as Eagles QB throws ugly interception: “What a s**t throw” 

Jalen Hurts threw a horrible interception for the Philadelphia Eagles against the Green Bay Packers in their opening game of the 2024 season, which only exacerbated the doubts about whether the quarterback can lead a talented team to the next level. Throwing from his own endzone, he threw in the middle of the park and was picked off with no offensive teammate around the area.

After the way the Eagles collapsed last season losing their final regular season games and lost in the Wildcard round to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, fans would have been skeptical of how well their quarterback could handle the pressure. But Jalen Hurts could not deliver and that led to Philadelphia fans getting on his back.

Jalen Hurts turns the ball over again after interception

If Jalen Hurts did not inspire confidence after the interception, he had a chance to put it all behind him and lead a drive for the Eagles when he got it back. Instead, right after the pick, he fumbled the ball after a miscommunication during the snap, leading to another turnover that gave the football to the Packers.

Jalen Hurts was supposed to take on more responsibility at the line of scrimmage after center Jason Kelce's retirement, but that plan does not look to be coming along too well. The quarterback was supposed to kick on to the next level with a talented team around him and the first quarter against the Packers gave no evidence of that.

The Eagles have a new offensive coordinator, changes in personnel on the offensive line, and a new running back, as they look to leave the disappointment of the 2023 season behind. The only thing constant is their quarterback. But if he keeps playing like this, Jalen Hurts might have to contend with the fans thinking that he is the problem.
