“It’s how you handle it” – Todd Bowles addresses if Tom Brady’s 'painful, difficult' divorce is causing Bucs problems

Tom Brady finalized his divorce from his wife of 13 years, supermodel Gisele Bundchen. Many fans feel that the issue of his marital status has been one of the core causes for the Tampa Bay Buccaneers' struggles this season. The Bucs are 3-5 this season and looking out of sorts.

Head coach Todd Bowles addressed the media and was asked if Brady's divorce was creating issues for Tampa Bay. He replied:

“I can’t say for sure. You know Tom is a very private person. He does his job when he’s out here and he smiles a lot and that’s really all you can go by. I think everybody, no matter what profession...

"...You go through some things, it’s how you handle it and come out of it. I’m sure he has something weighing on when he leaves work or everything. I don’t know how much. I guess that’s a question for him.''

The Buccaneers currently sit with a record of 3-5 in the NFC South. They also have a three-game losing streak after losing to the Baltimore Ravens on Thursday night in Week 8. For Tom Brady, It's the first three-game losing streak since the 2002 -03 season with the New England Patriots.

Tom Brady divorce settlement

In a statement released by the three-time NFL MVP, he talked about the end of his marriage and how he and Gisele are moving forward.

"In recent days, my wife and I finalized our divorce from one another after 13 years of marriage. We arrived at this decision amicably and with gratitude for the time we spent together. We are blessed with beautiful and wonderful children who will continue to be the center of our world in every way."

The Buccaneers quarterback added:

"We will continue to work together as parents to always ensure they receive the love and attention they deserve. We arrived at this decision to end our marriage, after much consideration."
