Jordan Addison showed his flair and grit on the field during his rookie season, despite multiple injuries haunting the Vikings last year. However, Addison started this preseason with an arrest, and he now faces charges that could lead to jail time.

The Minnesota Vikings wide receiver was arrested on July 12 outside the LAX airport in Los Angeles. Addison was found to be asleep behind the wheels of his white Rolls Royce. His car was parked on the freeway and was blocking lane no. 1.

According to Star Tribune, Jordan Addison was charged with two misdemeanors on July 31: driving under the influence of alcohol and driving with blood-alcohol content exceeding California’s legal limit of 0.08 percent.

As per the report, Addison has a court hearing on October 7 in Los Angeles Court. If the USC Trojans standout pleads guilty or is convicted, he will be liable for up to six months in jail and fines up to $2000, or his driving license will be confiscated.

The NFL also has a policy in place for first-time offenders in relation to alcohol or substance abuse. If Addison is found guilty, he will be suspended for 3 games. However, this is not the first time Jordan Addison has been reprimanded for his as last year he was under the microscope for reckless driving.

Jordan Addison deals with being in a dark place

After Jordan Addison’s arrest, Vikings head coach Kevin O’Connell expressed his disappointment to the media. The media also had a ton of questions on this matter for Addison as the training camp began.

"Didn’t think it was going to be how it was," Addison said. "But it was really important. I was in a dark place. I was feeling down.”

Addison also highlighted the tremendous help and upliftment he received from his coaches and players after the incident. The WR stated to the media that he was ready to face whatever punishments came his way, either from law enforcement or the league.
